Inter-Library Loans - Through the ACCESS PA system, patrons may borrow books from other PA libraries at no cost.
Access PA Program - Our cardholders will be provided ACCESS stickers entitling them to free service at all other participating libraries. ACCESS cardholders from other libraries are welcome here.
Computers - Three computers with connections to the INTERNET are available for public use. Computer print-outs are 25 cents a copy.
Purchase of Books - We are happy to
order books for you from our wholesaler (when available) at a 20% discount, plus tax.
Book Resales - Used books are on sale year-round. (Donations of books are always welcome.)
Children's Programs - Story Time for pre-school children is held most Fridays at 10:30 A.M. Programs for older children will be announced.
Summer Reading Program - During summer months in June, July, and August, the programs are for schoolchildren, grades K-6.
Hand-Puppet Theater - The theater is available for use by groups and individuals in the Children's Room in the Gallery.
Arts and Crafts Exhibits - Exhibits are shown on a regular basis in the Library Gallery.
Musical Programs - Live and recorded concerts in the Gallery will be announced.
Palmerton Area Historical Society - Public meetings are held in the Gallery every second Monday of the month. Local historical materials stored in the basement are available to the public by appointment.
Public and Private Meetings - Local groups may schedule meetings in the Library Conference Room or the Gallery. Fees are negotiable.
Memorial Books - Books may be purchased for the Library collection to honor a person or occasion.
Photocopier - Copier is for public use at 25 cents a copy. Clubs and individuals may arrange for printing of special materials (bulletins, programs, etc.) at special rates.
